Celebrating Differences: Leadership, Methodology & Diversity Professional Development Day (PDD) 2024

Today, I enjoyed volunteering and providing event support at Wake Forest University Charlotte Center for my project management chapter's Professional Development Day 2024.

The guest speakers' messages rejuvenated and inspired me about this next career phase of my career transition. Some of the takeaways I recall focused on leadership and diversity, covering generous communication, attitudes that create a sense of belonging and empathy, and empowering others.

For instance, I took the picture below of the Star Wars slide because it inspired me to do it. Of course, I had to snap a shot of the communications highlight to follow. Also, I earned additional professional development units (PDUs) to maintain and renew my PMP certification.

It was nice to make new meaningful connections in person that also converted into professional LinkedIn connections and endorsements. Professional Development Day happens once per year, and although this was my first time attending, it will definitely not be my last.
